How does the repayment plan work?
Car Cosmetics Derby Limited has partnered with Payment Assist which has helped over 400,000 customers nationwide to make the cost of vehicle repairs manageable.
An RAC survey reported that almost half of UK drivers worry about the cost of an unexpected repair bill for their vehicle and the UK Office of National Statistics also reports that 68% of UK adults cannot afford a £500 bill without some form of borrowing.
With no interest and no fees to pay we understand why more of our customers are choosing to use a repayment plan and we want to make this payment option as easy and straight forward as possible for our customers who wish to use the service.
Step One
We can provide a quote for your car bodywork with full details of parts, repairs and paintwork required. We can also supply a rental car (subject to availability) should you need a replacement vehicle to keep you on the road. The quote given for any repairs will the same whether you decide to take a repayment plan or not.
You will require a UK debit card to take advantage of the repayment plan and it's worth noting that some newly established bank debit cards may not be accepted such as Monzo or Starling bank so please ask if you are unsure.
Payment Assist will simply check that your card has adequate funds to pay the initial deposit and the address registered to your debit card matches the address the plan is being put through for, but no ‘footprint’ is left on your credit status and this online check takes literally two minutes. Payment Assist has an approval rate of 98% with a simple process giving a decision almost instantly.

Step Two
Car Cosmetics and Payment Assist are here to help, and spreading the cost of your accident repair or car bodywork means that your car is roadworthy and you can remain driving safely, whilst paying for the work over 4 payments.
Once your details have been entered and your debit card has been accepted the payment for 25% of your bill is taken by Payment Assist. This confirms that the debit card used is valid and the plan can go ahead.
Example: If you have a repair bill of £400 then the first payment required upfront would be £100 which gets you back on the road.
There genuinely isn’t a catch. Quite simply, rather than incurring the cost of borrowing money from other sources, we would suggest eligible customers should use Payment Assist and pay no interest or fees on the funds you need, providing your payments are made in line with the payment plan you agree to.
Step Three
Following collection of your vehicle, you will pay three equal instalments for the balance of the original cost to repair.
These will be taken monthly with no interest or fees to pay using the original UK debit card used to make the first payment. The monthly payments are taken based on a recurring transaction on your debit card again without any fees or interest added.
Payment Assist will notify you via email 7 days before a payment is due to be taken and when the payment has successfully been collected, or in the unlikely event of your payment failing.
Example: If you have a repair bill of £400, you pay £100 upfront then £100 per month for 3 months.

Which cards are accepted for Payment Assist?
Please note: Payment Assist is subject to acceptance in some instances and you must have an eligible card for payment. All valid UK Visa debit cards are acceptable providing they are not pre-paid. Mastercards from Santander, TSB, Clydesdale, Danske, Yorkshire Bank and Virgin Money are also accepted.
